Dot has a total of 30 years experience
working in the field of care from Pre-school, to voluntary work in a family home with social services and also with Mencap
in a summer school; Work with Children with learning difficulties compounded with severe challenging behaviour in a residential
setting, moving on to caring for 6 young adults with autism in their home as manager.
Dot managed a
home where 6 young people lived; their background being emotional and behavioural difficulties. From here Dot’s role changed to training and development, building a training department within the
organisation.
With 14 years experience working with
NVQ, and supporting staff through training, Dot is an assessor, internal verifier and is the Centre Co-ordinator for A New Day.
